* Due to the extra demand Eating Disorder Plans have placed on services for clinicians, Romana currently has a waitlist and is only offering services to individuals with eating disorder symptoms.
Compassionate, authentic and dedicated: Romana is a Clinical Psychologist who provides a safe space to work with any difficulties that life brings. She collaborates with clients to create meaningful goals for change and works to find a style of therapy that suits the problem and client. Change can be an extremely hard process and Romana is particularly attuned to the emotional complexity that ‘feeling stuck’ and moving towards a ‘new way of being’ can bring. She describes herself as a Person-Centered Therapist: clients take an active role in the direction and pace of therapy within a supportive environment.
Romana has completed a Doctorate of Psychology with the focus of her research on body image, dieting and eating disorders. She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and has worked in a variety of clinical, tertiary education and research settings. Romana is passionate about working with adults and couples on:
