Psychotherapy is a dynamic process that focuses on the mental, emotional, relational and spiritual health of a person and aims to help clients better understand the conscious and unconscious aspects of their present & past experiences.

Psychotherapy can be both short or long term based upon your circumstances and is not limited to a particular number of sessions.

Brooke Cefai is a registered clinical member of the Psychotherapy & Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA). Brooke has completed a Graduate Diploma of Counselling (ACAP), a Masters in Counselling & Psychotherapy (ACAP), a specialised one year clinical training program through the Australian & New Zealand Association of Psychotherapy (ANZAP) and is currently enrolled in a Masters of Science in Medicine (Trauma Informed Psychotherapy) at Sydney University.

Brooke works with adults and adolescents across a range of mental health disorders including; anxiety, depression and bipolar, personality disorders, eating disorders, relationship issues, family issues, sexual abuse & complex trauma

Q HOW DO I KNOW IF PSYCHOTHERAPY IS RIGHT FOR ME?

If you are looking for a therapy that can explore deeper or more complex issues, or perhaps other theraputic interventions have not worked then psychotherapy may be appropriate for you.

Q DO I NEED A MENTAL HEALTH PLAN FROM MY GP

No. I do not offer Medicare Benefits. This means you come through as a private client and do not need a mental health plan. You may be eligible for private health rebates. Please enquire with your private health provider directly.

Q WHAT ISSUES DOES PSYCHOTHERAPY ADDRESS?

Psychotherapy is useful for a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, personality disorders, eating disorders, relationship or commitment problems, family of origin issues, childhood sexual abuse, complex trauma
